AI Tokopedia Product Photos
Make up to nine square product photos that meet Tokopedia’s listing rules, from a front view on a solid background to angles, details and Indonesian home scenes, and use AI the way Tokopedia’s own AIGC guidelines describe.

The basics
What Tokopedia asks of your product photos
Tokopedia’s seller rules for Indonesia are published in the TikTok Shop by Tokopedia Policy Center, and the image rules (updated April 2026) are concrete. Every image must be at least 600 x 600 pixels, in color, sharp rather than blurry or pixelated, with nothing such as a sticker or watermark covering the product, and each image must show a different angle. You can upload up to 9 square images. The primary image shows the front of the physical product on a solid-color background, white recommended, with the product taking up at least 60% of the frame and shown whole, not cropped. Each product can also carry one video of up to 5 MB.
Two more rules shape what you upload. Tokopedia’s help center caps product photos at 5 MB and asks you to update photos when the product changes, for example when a distributor changes the packaging. And the listing has to be an authentic reflection of what the buyer receives: the images, the title and the description must match. Last checked October 2026.
Tokopedia is also clear about AI. Its False Display of Information and AIGC Guidelines (September 2026) say AI-generated content can help you create product images, as long as the images accurately represent the product, including its SKU, material, quantity, features and delivery condition, do not exaggerate it, and are reviewed before you publish. That is how Mage works best anyway: start from a photo of your real product and change what is around it.
A little more possibility
Why Tokopedia sellers make photos on Mage
A front view on solid color
Keep your product, replace the background with white or one solid color, and show it whole at well over 60% of the frame.
Nine images, nine angles
The Angles app renders the side, back and top of the same product, so every slot shows something new.
AI used the honest way
Your real product stays in every image; only the scene, the light and the angle change.
Matching color variants
Make each color from one template, so the variants look like one product line.
Sharp, not oversized
Generate at 2K for detail, and compress to under 5 MB if a file comes out larger.
In Bahasa Indonesia
Mage’s app is available in Indonesian, and your creations stay private until you post them.
From idea to creation
How do you make Tokopedia product photos with AI?
It takes three steps, and it is free to start.
Photograph the real product
The current packaging, the right color, the whole item in frame. AI images must match the SKU you ship.
Make the front view
In Mango 3, attach the photo, choose 1:1, and ask for a white background with the whole front of the product filling about 75% of the frame.
Fill the other eight
Side, back and top with Angles, a close-up of the material, the accessories laid out, and the product in use at home.
Review, compress, upload
Check each image against the real item, keep files under 5 MB, and add them in Seller Center.
Tips and techniques
The listing rules, image by image (last checked October 2026)
All images: at least 600 x 600 pixels, in color, sharp, nothing covering the product, and a different angle in each. "A different angle" is the easiest rule to break: three photos of the front with different backgrounds are repetition, not information. Plan the nine slots before you generate anything.
The primary image: the front view of the physical product, on a solid-color background (white recommended), at least 60% of the frame, whole and not cropped. A prompt that covers it: "Keep the product exactly as in the photo. Front view. Solid white background. The whole product centered, filling about 75% of a square frame. Even light, no text, no stickers."
The other eight: the side, the back and other details, including any accessories that come with the product. A good order is front, three-quarter, side, back, a close-up of the material or finish, the accessories laid out, the product in use, the product at scale, and the packaging.
- At least 600 x 600 pixels; 2K is a safe target.
- Front view on solid color, product over 60%, uncropped.
- A different angle in every image.
- No sticker or watermark over the product.
- Photos and the video under 5 MB each.
Tips and techniques
Using AI the way Tokopedia’s AIGC guidelines describe
Tokopedia lists what an AI-made product image has to get right: the SKU, the material, the quantity, the features, the functions, the effects, any endorsements and the delivery condition. Treat that list as a checklist on every image. If you sell a pack of 3, the image shows 3. If the bottle is plastic, the generated one must not look like glass. If the product ships without the stand, the stand does not appear in the front view.
The safest workflow keeps the product real. Attach your own photo, tell the model to keep it exactly as it is, and describe only what changes: the background, the light, the room. Avoid prompts that improve the product itself, such as a glossier finish or a slimmer shape, which the guidelines count as altering or exaggerating it.
Then review before you publish, as the guidelines ask. Compare each image with the product in your hand, at full size, around the label and the edges. If one detail drifted, fix just that part with Inpaint instead of regenerating the whole image.
Tips and techniques
Indonesian scenes and the seasons that matter
For the images after the front view, use settings your buyers live in: a kitchen in a Jakarta apartment, a batik workshop in Yogyakarta, a veranda in Bali, a living room in a Bandung house with the rain outside. Local light helps the product look photographed: strong equatorial sun, a rainy-season sky, warm lamps in the evening.
Ramadan and Lebaran are a peak season for modest fashion, kue kering, hampers and gifts, so prepare scenes for buka puasa tables and Lebaran visits weeks ahead. Later in the year, 11.11 and Harbolnas on 12.12 call for gift scenes and bundles. Change the scene images for each season and keep the front view the same.
For modest fashion, put each design on one saved model with Outfit Swap and keep the hijab style and the hem length true to the product. Selling on TikTok Shop outside Indonesia too? See the TikTok Shop images guide.
Tips and techniques
Variants, file sizes and the video slot
If you sell several colors, make each one from the same template: the same background, angle and light, with only the color changing. Generate one color first, then ask for the same image "with the case in sage green instead of black", and compare the result with the real product, since a generated color can shift.
Size the files for Tokopedia, not for print. Generate at 2K, which is far above 600 pixels, and use Image Enhancer only when your source photo is small. A 4K or 6K file is more than a listing needs and can pass the 5 MB photo limit; Tokopedia’s help suggests compressing any photo that fails to upload.
The video slot takes one clip of up to 5 MB, so keep it short. The AI product video generator guide turns your best image into a clip. Working in Claude or another assistant? The Product Photoshoot skill shoots a set of modes from one photo, and the Marketplace Listing Images skill builds a main image with secondary images; it ships Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, eBay and Shopify rules, so paste Tokopedia’s from this page. Prompts for nine Tokopedia images
Attach your product photo to each. The first is the front view.
Front view on white
Keep the blender exactly as in the photo, jar, base and buttons unchanged. Front view, solid white background, the whole blender centered and filling about 75% of a square frame, even light, no text, no stickers.
Buka puasa table
Keep the jar of kue kering exactly as in the reference. On a buka puasa table with dates and glasses of iced tea on a woven placemat, warm evening light, the full jar in focus.
Batik workshop
Keep the batik shirt exactly as in the reference. Hanging on a wooden rack in a Yogyakarta batik workshop, wax pots and cloth out of focus behind, soft daylight from an open door.
Accessories laid out
Keep the blender, both jars and the spatula exactly as in the reference. Laid out on a light wooden table, top-down, each item separate and fully visible, even light.
Harbolnas bundle
Keep the three skincare bottles exactly as in the reference. Grouped beside a gift box with a ribbon for a 12.12 bundle, pale background, soft light, all three labels facing the camera.
Room to experiment
Generating the product vs editing around it
Tokopedia allows AI images that show the real product accurately. The way you use AI decides whether yours do.
Generating the product from text
- The product is invented from a description
- SKU, material or quantity can drift
- Risks the misleading-display rules
- A slightly different product in every image
Editing around your real product
- Your own photo is the product
- Only the background, light and angle change
- Easy to check against the AIGC checklist
- The same product across all nine images
