How to connect Mage to Claude
A Mage account is required; a guest session cannot connect an app.
Open the connector link
Open "Add Mage to Claude". Claude's Connectors page opens with the name Mage and the server URL filled in. Select Add.

Select Connect. A Mage page opens, asks you to sign in if needed, and names the app that is asking. Select Connect to return to Claude.
Turn Mage on in a chat
In any chat, open the + menu, turn on Mage under Connectors, and ask for what you want to make.

Frequently asked questions
Can Claude generate images?
Claude does not generate images on its own, but with the Mage connector it can. Claude chooses a model, quotes the price, starts the generation on your Mage account, and shows you the result in the chat.
Can Claude generate videos?
Yes, with the Mage connector. Claude can generate video with Cherry 2 Pro by default, or with any other Mage video model you name, and audio with Seed Audio.
Which Claude plans support the Mage connector?
Custom connectors work on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. The Free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner first adds Mage under Organization settings → Connectors.
What is the Mage MCP server?
A remote Model Context Protocol server at https://mcp.mage.space/mcp that lets AI assistants generate images, video, and audio on your Mage account. It gives the assistant 16 tools to pick a model, quote the price, generate, wait for the result, and use your saved characters, references, and history.
Do I need an API key to use the MCP server?
No. Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, and Claude Code connect by signing in to Mage through OAuth. An API key is optional, for headless setups such as CI.
How much does it cost?
Connecting is free. Each generation your assistant starts is paid in Gems from your Mage account at the model’s listed price, and your assistant can quote the price with estimate_cost before it starts.
Which models does my assistant use?
Unless you name a model, your assistant makes images with Mango 3, video with Cherry 2 Pro, and audio with Seed Audio. You can ask for any other Mage model by name.
Is it safe to connect my Mage account?
Mage shows the app’s name, its site, and where you return before anything is shared, and you approve each connection. Disconnect any app at any time from MCP → Connected apps.
