How to use the Character Swap skill

Share the scene and the character
A photo whose composition you want to keep, and an image of the character. A saved character works too.
Get the price

Frequently asked questions

Is it the same as the Character Swap app?

Yes. The skill sends the Character Swap app’s own prompt with the same models and defaults, so your agent gets the app’s results from a chat, and can run it on many images in one go.

How is it different from Face Swap?

Face Swap changes only the head and keeps the body and clothes. Character Swap replaces the whole person, outfit included, which also fixes face swaps where the face shapes are too different.

Can it change the pose?

No. It keeps the composition, so it keeps the pose too. Generate a new image with the character for a different pose.

Can I use a real person’s face?

Only with that person’s permission, and never to deceive, harass, or sexualize anyone. Harmful deepfakes are forbidden on Mage, and the skill states the rule with the price before it runs.

How much does it cost?

The skill is free and open source. Each generation it starts is paid in Gems from your Mage account at the model’s listed price, and your assistant quotes the total before it creates anything.
