Frequently asked questions

Is it the same as the Refine app?

Yes. The skill sends the Refine app’s own prompt with the same models and defaults, so your agent gets the app’s results from a chat, and can run it on many images in one go.

What can it fix?

Eyes, hands and fingers, and fine detail, with the presets, or one focused change in your own words. It improves an image; for a subject that came out wrong, generate again.

How is it different from Inpaint?

Refine works across the whole image. Inpaint changes one masked area and guarantees everything outside it stays identical.

Can I attach my photo to the chat?

Mage can’t read files attached to a chat, so share a direct link to the image instead, such as your store’s product image URL. Agents that run commands, like Claude Code and Cursor, can upload a file from your computer.

How much does it cost?

The skill is free and open source. Each generation it starts is paid in Gems from your Mage account at the model’s listed price, and your assistant quotes the total before it creates anything.
