Videos recast with Magejutsu

Motion control, reimagined

Magejutsu

Upload a clip or remix one from the motion library.

How Magejutsu works

Same take, new cast

Every move kept. Everyone replaced.

Drag the handle to compare the original with its recast. The glances, the timing, and the camera stay in sync; only the people change.

How it works

Four steps from clip to recast

No timeline, no masks, no keyframes. Bring a video and the cast; the director handles the rest.

  1. Add a source video

Upload a clip of 4 to 30 seconds, pick one of your creations, or press Remix on a clip in the motion library.

  2. Bring your own everything

Add up to 30 characters, outfits, props, and places. Say who goes where, or let the director decide.

  3. Add directions, or don't

Directions are optional. Off, the director watches your clip and your references and decides who goes where. On, say what changes and mention references as @image1 or a character's @handle.

  4. Generate

Your recast keeps the clip's length, shape, cuts, and sound. It lands in History, ready to download, share, or remix.

Pick a mode, or start from the library

  • Motion transfer

Keep the motion, change the cast

The movement, camera, and cuts stay as filmed, and your references play the parts.

  • Object swap

Change only what you point at

Describe or show the change, from a person to an outfit or a product, and the rest of the shot stays as it was.

  • Remix

    Start from the library

Pick a clip in the motion library and press Remix to bring in its motion. Remix any Magejutsu creation the same way to reuse its setup.

Frequently asked questions

What is Magejutsu?
Magejutsu recasts a video you already have. It keeps the clip's motion, camera, cuts, and timing and swaps in your own characters, outfits, places, and products, or it changes one thing and leaves the rest as filmed. A director model watches your clip and writes the edit, so you can start without a prompt.
Is Magejutsu an alternative to Higgsfield Genjutsu?
Yes. Magejutsu does the same job, recasting a video you already have, in two modes: motion transfer and object swap. Start from your own clip or one from the motion library, add your references, and leave the directions to the director or write your own. It runs on Gems with no subscription required, in the browser, through the Mage API, and in AI assistants through the Mage MCP server.
How long can my video be?
Magejutsu takes source videos from 4 to 30 seconds. Magejutsu Lite takes 4 to 15 seconds, and Magejutsu Feather 4 to 15 seconds. The result keeps your clip's length and aspect ratio.
How many references can I add?
Up to 30 images: characters, outfits, props, and places. Upload photos, add your saved characters by their @handle, or pick images from your creations.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. Directions are off by default, and the director reads your video and references and decides who plays which part. Turn them on to say what to change, like “replace the dancer with @image1” or “move it to a beach at sunset.”
What is the difference between motion transfer and object swap?
Motion transfer keeps only the motion: the camera, cuts, and timing stay, and your references play every part. Object swap changes only what you point at, such as a person, an outfit, or a product, and keeps everything else exactly as filmed.
Does Magejutsu keep the sound?
Yes. The recast keeps your clip's own audio, voices and music included, in time with the new picture.
Which Magejutsu model should I use?
Magejutsu gives the best recasts and takes the longest sources. Magejutsu Lite is faster and cheaper. Magejutsu Feather is the cheapest and fastest, for motion transfer at up to 720p.
How much does a recast cost?
Magejutsu runs on Gems. The price follows your clip's length and the quality you pick, and the Generate button shows the exact total before you start.
Are my videos private?
Yes. Your uploads and recasts stay private to your account unless you choose to post them. Remixing a creation reuses its motion and settings, never its reference images.
Can I recast real people?
Only with their permission and the rights to the material. Magejutsu carries the same consent requirement as every other face-editing tool on Mage.
