What is Nano Banana 2.1?

Nano Banana is Google's image model family, run by Google and reached through Mage. Nano Banana 2.1 is the newer model and the default: it costs less than Nano Banana 2 and improves on its visual quality, prompt adherence, character consistency, and text.

Both versions take many reference images and saved Characters, edit an uploaded image from a sentence, and render at high resolution.
